"Marijuana Legalization Sweeps the World"

If you haven’t heard about marijuana legalization by now, I suggest you crawl out from under your 2-ton rock and take a look around. A new day, nay, a new age is dawning in which cannabis prohibition is a thing of the past. This is the time for marijuana research, experimentation, investment, and exploration of marijuana’s medical benefits – and that includes CBD (cannabidiol) oil in a very big way. CNN recently reported that over 20 countries worldwide have legal marijuana consumption laws in place today, and that marijuana is the “drug” most widely cultivated, consumed, produced, and trafficked on the planet. The article doesn’t not mention that the other 176 (or is it 175? 174?) countries on the planet, but you get the point: marijuana prohibition is a thing of the past for many people today.

Where is Marijuana Legal?

Some marijuana (whether medical, recreational, or both) and marijuana products are legal in the following countries:

Which Countries Will Legalize Marijuana Completely in 2017?

Other countries are expected to legalize recreational marijuana in 2017 (each currently has legal medical marijuana laws in place), including Jamaica, Spain, Czech Republic, Colombia, Costa Rica, Portugal, Peru, Switzerland, Mexico, and Canada (who is getting the legislation in place as I write).

Why is Marijuana Being Legalized Now?

The answer to this question is simple: people are finally coming out of the dark marijuana prohibition closet and realizing that cannabis and CBD oil can have a major impact on the world, from new medicines and non-invasive, non-addictive disorder and illness treatments to industrial hemp solutions for clothing, materials, and paper creation throughout the world. Making cannabis illegal with the 1925 Dangerous Drugs Act (an outdated piece of legislation that is badly in need of review internationally) turned out to be a mistake, and the world war on drugs has prevented many (but not all) research and medical studies on this medicinal plant for nearly a century. In the grand overview of time, a century isn’t much to all the centuries that came before of cannabis-driven consumption, enlightenment, healing, relief, and experiences – it feels good to be getting back to international legalization, doesn’t it?

What Conditions Can Be Treated with Cannabis?

Right now, the applications of cannabis therapy in the medical, psychological, and behavioral fields are literally limitless, and cannabis is being used for disorders and diseases like epilepsy, PTSD, cancer, schizophrenia, depression, cirrhosis, neuropathy, anxiety, muscle spasms, seizures, physical tics, Alzheimer’s, fibromyalgia, multiple sclerosis (MS), HIV/AIDS, glaucoma, cachexia, chronic pain and nausea, ALS, Tourette’s, Crohn’s disease, severe arthritis, migraines, Parkinson’s disease, mitochondrial disease, sickle cell disease, causalgia, dystonia, fibrous dysplasia, hepatitis C, hydrocephalus, intersitital cystitis, lupus, muscular dystrophy, myasthenia gravis, myoclonus, nail-patella syndrome, neurofibromatosis, spinal cord injury, spinocerebellar ataxia (SCA), traumatic brain injury (TBI), spastic quadriplegia, inflammatory bowel disease (IBS), and chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE). Depending on where you live, medical marijuana, recreational marijuana, or CBD oil may be able to help you relieve symptoms or feel better. The future looks bright for cannabis and medicine, to say the least, and in a time of divisive politics, it seems the world is agreeing on the promise of cannabis.
